Mason Boy Scout Troop 264 will be heading to the United States Military Academy at West Point for a camporee, starting this Friday, May 1st and returning home on Sunday, May 3rd.. The camporee will host around 6,000 scouts, accommodating around half of those who applied. Troop 264 applied as “light fighters”, requiring them to hike 2.5 miles to camp. The camporee will feature several challenges, including knot tying, quickly building a fire, a zodiac race, a physical training course, tying and using a Swiss seat to traverse a rope between trees, and a memorization game.
