MANE News

MANE would like to give a big thank you to all the courteous drivers on the roads of Mason. The deerflies were so horrid this summer that many of us equestrians found relief staying on the roads.

Some members ventured to Hampton Falls on September 19 to watch the Fidelity Jumper Classic, an international jumping competition featuring Olympians and other elite riders. These amazing horses were leaping a challenging course of 13 jumps that were over 5 ft high — very impressive.

As for us pleasure riders here in Mason we are looking forward to our rescheduled progressive ride on October 17. No big jumps here, just some social riding and a day of snacking as we go house-to-house throughout the morning and afternoon.

Our second annual gymkhana was on September 26 with fun and games on horse back and a potluck meal afterwards.

With summer’s end we are back to monthly meetings and club organized events. MANE typically meets the first Saturday of the month. Feel free to come check us out. We always welcome new members. For more info on becoming a member and meeting times and locations go to manenh.org.
