ZBA waives setback requirements for a to be constructed “Historic Shed”

Mary McDonald presented her plans for a shed on her lot in the Mason Historic District. To quote the Board of Adjustment minutes:

“The footprint will be less than 10’ x 20’ thereby a building permit will not be required for construction. The height is as yet undetermined, but will probably include a loft. Shed is to be used primarily for gasoline containers and fueled vehicle storage.”

Attached to the zoning board minutes was June 18, 2013 letter from the Board of Selectmen stating that the building was approved “as meeting the style guidelines of the Historic Preservation District”.
