Disabled motor vehicle: At 11:22 a.m., police assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle near Fitchburg Road and the Ashby town line.
Medical call: At 10:28 p.m., police assisted with a medical call for a possible drug overdose on Campbell Mill Road.
SUNDAY, JULY 3
Check conditions: At 11:54 a.m., police checked the road conditions on Whithee Brook Road.
OHRV complaint: At 12:05 p.m., police responded to a report of an OHRV on the Mason Rail Trail. Police could not locate the vehicle.
Animal control: at 1:28 p.m., police responded to a report of a sick/injured cat on Valley Road but didn’t find the animal.
Shots fired: At 9:05 p.m., police received reports of multiple gun shots on Depot Road but could not locate anyone shooting in the area.
TUESDAY, JULY 5
Alarm: At 3:19 a.m. State Police responded to a burglar alarm on Old Turnpike Road.
VIN identification: At 3:51 p.m., police verified a VIN for a Valley Road resident.
Identity theft: At 3:54 p.m., police received a report of possible identity theft on Old County Road.
Property dispute: At 3:58 p.m., police gave advice to a resident on a civil matter.
Suspicious activity: At 7:06 p.m., police investigated a report of suspicious activity on Brookline Road.
THURSDAY, JULY 7
Scam: At 4:35 p.m., police gave advice to a resident of Townsend Road regarding a threatening phone calls possibly related to a scam.
FRIDAY, JULY 8
Road hazard: At 11:22 a.m., police responded to a fallen tree in the roadway of Marcel Road.
Harassment: At 12:16 p.m., police received a report of harassing phone calls on Briggs Road.
OHRV complaint: At 4:23 p.m., police assisted New Ipswich police with an OHRV complaint.
2336: MVA with injury, handled by State Police.
1634: James Canfield, 75, of Mason, NH was arrested for driving after revocation or suspension. Canfield was transported to Valley Street Jail and had a court appearance on July 12, 2016.
1929: Officer gave advice concerning a barking dogs on Valley Rd.
2200: Officer removed hazard on Fitchburg Rd.
1404: Officer responded to a call concerning gun shots at close range on Blueberry Lane. Determined shots were coming from the sand pit. Legal shooting.
1527: Officer responded to alarm on Valley Rd. False alarm.
1406: Officer verified a vehicle identification number on Walker Brook Rd.
1221: Officer responded to an abandoned 911 call on Fitchburg Rd, medical emergency.
1749: Officer assisted Temple/Greenville with an alarm call.
1911: Officer investigated suspicious activity at Mason Town Quarry. 6 non-residents removed.
1537: Officer verified vehicle identification number on Starch Mill Rd.
2112: Officer checked suspicious conditions on Townsend Rd.
0845: Motor vehicle complaint on Starch Mill Rd. referencing disorderly conduct.
SUNDAY, JULY 24
OHRV complaint: At 2:59 p.m., police received a report of an OHRV complaint. There was not an officer available to respond.
MONDAY, JULY 25
Road hazard: At 10:51 a.m., police responded to a downed tree on Barrett Hill Road and directed traffic until Fairpoint arrived to remove the tree from the wires.
Alarm: At 6:33 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Old Turnpike Road. The building was secure.
Assist: At 9:05 p.m., police assisted the Nelson Police Department with an investigation on Townsend Road.
TUESDAY, JULY 26
Investigation: At 5:44 p.m., police investigated a report of assault and several thefts that allegedly occurred at the Mason Town Quarry.
Welfare check: At 6:18 p.m., police checked on the welfare of a resident on Townsend Road.
Community policing: At 7:30 p.m., police were present at a community event on Old Turnpike Road.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 27
VIN: At 11:58 p.m., police verified a vehicle identification number on Nutting Hill Road.
Fingerprinting: At 12:28 p.m., police assisted a resident with fingerprinting for employment purposes.
Paperwork: At 5:45 p.m., police provided documentation for a citizen.
Trespassing: At 6:03 p.m., police issued warnings to individuals found trespassing at the Mason Town Quarry.
THURSDAY, JULY 28
Motor vehicle complaint: At 5:34 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle complaint but were unable to find the vehicle.
FRIDAY, JULY 29
Burglary: At 3:34 p.m., police investigated a report of a burglary on Brookline Road.
Alarm: at 8:36 p.m., police responded to Mitchell Hill Road for an alarm, but found it to be a false alarm.
