Staff Changes at Mason Elementary

Mason NH, June, 2016 -Mason Elementary Principal Ms. Kivela reports:

I look forward to the dual role of principal and superintendent that I will play next year.

Mr. McCormick [Superintendent] is retiring this year but he will continue to stay on as a mentor for me next year as I transition into the new position. He will be around once a month to meet with me and of course visit with the kiddos. I know we will all miss Mr. McCormick very much but we will look forward to our monthly visits with him!

Sadly we will also be losing two other staff members. Mrs. Boudrieau, our guidance counselor, will be leaving at the end of the year. We are so grateful to Mrs. B for all she has done over the years and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors. Mrs. Sirois will also not be returning next year. She will be greatly missed and we wish her well as she works on growing her personal business KM Expressions.

We have hired a new Student Support Services Director, Jonas Taub. Jonas is currently our school psychologist and has worked in the district for 2 years. He has been responsible for performing special education evaluations, and he will be taking on the role of Student Support Services Director next year as well as continuing in the role of school psychologist and providing guidance services (we like people to wear many hats around here).

The school board has cancelled its June 20, 2016 meeting.
