A curious “second request” for employees occurred today on the Town of Mason web site. We say second request because as far as the public record is concerned, the first request has not led to a hiring. The Gazette is going to refrain from reading anything into the apparent change from part to full time job requirements.
The town of Mason is currently accepting applications for a full time self motivated person for the Highway Department. The ideal candidate needs to have a minimum of a Class B CDL and clean driving record. The candidate should also have heavy equipment experience such as Grader, Front End Loader and Backhoe. Plow experience in a Class B vehicle with a wing is desirable. This job comes with competitive wages and a great benefit package.
The original post from September 14 stated simply:
The Mason Highway Department is now looking for a year round part-time driver/laborer. Ideal candidate will need a minimum Class-B CDL with a clean driving record and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test. Flexible availability is a plus. Pay commensurate with experience.
