For some time now we’ve been observing with interest the furor caused by the Kilton Public Library in West Lebanon, NH.
What has a small library in NH done to get itself the focus of Homeland Security and splattered all over the internet? Some sample news items:
- eff.org (description of project and pitch for help)
Who would have thought that providing a service allowing reading information without governmental snooping would cause such a furor?
In order to protect “our children” it seems it might be necessary to flush freedom of speech and other liberties down the toilet. However, perhaps we are too harsh.
Kudos to the Kilton Public Library.
Local participation anyone?
